New Rocking Silent Hill: Downpour Trailer from the Tokyo Game Show

by on September 19, 2011

In the absolute slew of trailers cvoming out of the Tokyo Game show last week, one could be forgiven for missing out on some of the most exciting videos. Konami released a number of new videos, but perhaps one of the more interesting ones is a new trailer from silent Hill: Downpour, which we haven’t had much exposure to over its development time. The new video shows our new protagonist – convict Murphy Pendleton – as he finds himself stranded on the titular town, after a Prison bus accident. We can see some of the friendly – and not so friendly – faces that he will meet as he makes his way into the centre of town.

The game trailer features music from rock band Korn, but longtime Silent Hill fans don’t run for the hills, as we reported when the game was first announced, most of the music for the title will be composed by Daniel Licht – composer for television’s Dexter series. His take on the Silent Hill universe will be interesting to hear, and may persuade some Silent Hill fans that the musical future of the series is still in good hands.

Check out the new video below:

Silent Hill: Downpour will be released for the PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 in Autumn 2011.
