Fans Will Choose the Names for 2 Playable Classes in Transformers Universe

by on October 13, 2011

Getting players involved with the development process in gaming is increasingly becoming a trend for future titles. The process for such involvement is usually a vote based on a small feature of the game. Jagex the development Studio set to bring you Transformers Universe, are also bringing you the next chance to get involved!

In polls running alongside Jagex’s activity at this week’s New York’s Comic Con convention, fans will have the chance to vote for the names of both the AUTOBOT and DECEPTICON TRANSFORMERS characters in one of the player classes that will be in the game at launch. There will be a variety of pre-assigned names to choose from, but in a twist to proceedings Jagex is also allowing fans the chance to suggest their own recommendation. The voting will take place via the TRANSORMERS UNIVERSE Facebook page, the survey will run between 4:00 PM BST on Thursday, October 13, and 5:00 PM BST, Sunday October 16 to coincide with the voting that will take place on the TRANSFORMERS UNIVERSE stand at New York Comic Con.

That is correct, you can either choose one of the 3 options Jagex have suggested, or you can put forward your very own idea.

The Autobot Class and the suggested names:

A disciplined class that understands rules must be followed in order to successfully complete a mission. Creativity and thinking on ones feet is always appreciated and can be acted upon. Going into battle with maximum knowledge is key. Acting on a firm knowledge allows them to execute orders quickly and effectively.

  • Sentry.
  • Guardian.
  • Marshal.

The Decepticon Class and the suggested names:

Fighting in the name of the Decepticons is paramount. This class is ruthless. During battle they rarely have need to take prisoners. After carrying out their twisted form of justice in a precise manner, they help themselves to the spoils of war and leave no trace of their actions.

  • Agent.
  • Dissenter.
  • Infiltrator.

The winning names of this vote will be released shortly after voting closes on October 16th.

Transformers Universe will be available on PC in 2012.
