Nintendo 2012 European Lineup Released: Kid Icarus, Resident Evil, Professor Layton & MoreNintendo of Europe have come up with the goods today – Lovingly delivering their current European lineup for the year 2012. Let’s see what goods we can expect for 3DS, DS & Wii!

The Nintendo 3DS has suffered many a teething problem, since it’s arrival in March this year. However, the system has managed to claw back some respect for itself, after the recent releases of Super Mario 3DS Land and Mario Kart 7.

Highlights for the 3DS in 2012 include Resident Evil: Revelations (arriving with the controversal Circle Pad Pro peripheral) at the end of January, the long-awaited Kid Icarus: Uprising in March, plus the 3DS port of Metal Gear Solid, the latest Professor Layton title and Luigi’s Mansion 2 all arriving at some point during 2012.

Next up, is the small release schedule for the Nintendo DS; no doubt this is the last round of titles for the system. The only game of note is Inazuma Eleven 2, the sequel to the hit football RPG title. Arriving in both Firestorm & Blizzard varieties, no doubt this series is going the Pokemon route of dual SKUs.

Finally, we have the humble Wii. No doubt this is the final year for the system, with the Wii U on the horizon – But there are some fantastic games to send the format off. In addition to the Mistwalker developed The Last Story, we can also look forward to Mario Party 9, Pandora’s Tower and (finally) Beat The Beat: Rhythm Paradise – Personally one of my most eagerly awaited games.
