CES: Wii U Panorama View Demo Captured, Looks Fantastic

by on January 13, 2012

Wii U PanoramaNintendo Life has captured a demo of a panoramic view demo for Nintendo’s upcoming Wii U console from CES. The panoramic view shows a Google-like street view of Tokyo, where the Wii U tablet controller is used as a viewer to look around the streets of Tokyo as you go along in a car. There is no limit to the view, and you can literally move the controller 360° with no loss of view. It really is rather impressive — we could see this kind of thing working well with L.A. Noire, for instance. The demo was available at E3 according to Nintendo, though this looks rather new to us too.

The video also shows off some of the Zelda HD Experience, which was shown at E3 last year but looks tantalising nonetheless. Just announce it already, Nintendo! Check out the video below.

Wii U is set to release later this year.
