Mass-Effect-3:-Resurgence-Pack-DLC-Out-Next-WeekMass Effect 3 is set to receive its first DLC next week, no it’s not the extended cut ending, but it will still be free.

The DLC is called the Resurgence Pack (obviously Bioware employees don’t play Call of Duty) it will add two new cooperative multiplayer maps along with new unlockable weapons, characters and items.

  • Maps – The first map is called Firebase Condor, a warzone outpost located on one of Palaven’s moons. The second is Firebase Hydra, an old abandoned quarian colony converted into a power facility.
  • Characters – The DLC will see more playable races with Batarian Soldier, Batarian Sentinel, Geth Engineer and Geth Infiltrator all being added. Asari Justicar Adept and Krogan Battlemaster Vanguard will also be included.
  • Weapons – Three new weapons will be available in the form of the Striker Assault Rifle, Kishock Harpoon Gun and Geth Plasma SMG.
  • Consumables – Brand new consumables will also be added like the Strength Enhancer, Targeting VI, Stabilization Module and Shield Power Cells.

Check out the trailer below to see some of the new content in action.

It’s nice to see some more free DLC coming out lately, only today in fact did Capcom confirm when their free DLC for Operation Raccoon City would be available.

Mass Effect 3: Resurgence Pack will land April 10th on Xbox LIVE, SEN and Origin. European SEN players will have to wait till April 11th. The pack will be free to download.
