Creepy New Trailer for Edna & Harvey: Harvey's New EyesIf you’re a fan of dark adventures featuring disturbed young girls, creepy stuffed rabbits and bizarre gnomes, you’re probably already familiar with Edna & Harvey. Beginning with The Breakout, a popular university project in Germany, the Edna & Harvey games are point and click puzzle adventures built around exploration and experimentation.

The latest addition, Harvey’s New Eyes, features Lilli, an adolescent girl living in a convent school whose best friend Edna disappears. Setting off to find her triggers a series of events that will force Lilli to face her fears and discover why a group of gnomes, real or imaginary, paint over every unpleasant or frightening thing she sees with bright, friendly pink.

Weird is hardly the word, but there’s a certain appeal to the handpainted artwork and original premise. Using Item A with Item B to achieve your goals is par for the point and click course, but Harvey’s New Eyes is unique in its combination of sweet, fluffy imagery and unsettling, underlying horror.

Edna & Harvey: Harvey’s New Eyes is being developed and published by Daedelic Entertainment and will be available on PC and Mac on October 16th.
