Epic New Final Fantasy XIV: A Realm Reborn Trailer Signals the End of an EraHot on the heels of the Final Fantasy XI 10th Anniversary Concert in Berkeley, California, Square-Enix have released a brand new trailer for their extensive revision of Final Fantasy XIV, A Realm Reborn.

Servers will close on the original version today (November 11), in preparation for the launch of the revamp. Overwhelmingly negative feedback forced Sqaure-Enix to take their MMORPG FFXIV back to the drawing board and rebuild it completely using a whole new game engine. They’ve redesigned every field map, altered the combat and customisation systems, changed the user interface and generally made a heap of improvements in an attempt to undo the damage done and win back the support of the Final Fantasy community.

This brand-spanking new, epic 6-minute trailer depicts a clash between the forces of the Garlean Empire and the Eorzean Alliance in a battle that will decide the fate of the world.

Final Fantasy XIV: A Realm Reborn is scheduled for release on PlayStation 3 and PC in 2013.
