New Trailer for Let's Fish: Hooked On Launches Alongside WebsiteIf there’s one thing the games industry needs more of, it’s fishing sims.

Well, Wired Productions and SIMS Co. Ltd are hoping to remedy that with Let’s Fish: Hooked On, the first full fishing game to be released on the PlayStation Vita. Exclusive to Sony’s handheld, Hooked On will see you select a character in the story mode and take them through 11 different stages – improving their skills along the way – to be crowned world champion.

The distinctly Japanese game will allow you to utilise the Vita’s touchscreen to lure, hook and land 9 different classes of fish with over 240 collectible lures. How action-packed you find proceedings really comes down to how thrilled you are by fishing simulators and squeaky Japanese teenagers, but Let’s Fish: Hooked On is at least unique in the Vita’s fledgling game catalogue.

This new trailer shows the game in action and introduces you to some of the main gameplay features, and for more information you can now check out the newly-launched official website.

Let’s Fish: Hooked On is only available in Japan at present, but is expected to launch in Europe early in 2013.
