Is a Crash Bandicoot Reboot on the Cards?

Is a Crash Bandicoot Reboot on the Cards?Crash Bandicoot has effectively been dead for a number of years. The tazmanian devil-esque fella was once a pillar of the PlayStation brand, was then acquired by Activision and has since been left on the shelf after numerous failed projects.

However, there may be life in the reddish-orange chap, as a NeoGAF user spotted what appears to be a redesigned Crash in the offices of Vicarious Visions. The studio, who looked after Skylanders: Giants on Wii U, posted a photo of their office on their Facebook page and there’s an image of an updated Bandicoot, right in the left-hand corner – which we saw thanks to Gaming Everything.

It’s probably doubtful that a Crash Bandicoot reboot is really on the cards as that property isn’t all that relevant in today’s landscape. There’s a much better chance of him showing up in a Skylanders game, as this design of Crash looks a bit more larger-than-life than the Crash we grew up with.

Some people like to look back at the Crash games and point fingers at various flaws, but to me, my time with the Bandicoot was joyous. I can safely say that I would be all for a Crash reboot, if only for nostalgia’s sake.
