Deadly Premonition Director’s Cut Release Date, PS+ Tie-in and Pre-order Goodies

Deadly-Premonition-Director's-Cut-Release-DateIf you have never played the surreal, Lynchian open world horror/detective oddity Deadly Premonition, brace yourselves – our mates over at the awesome Rising Star Games have announced that the superb-looking Deadly Premonition: The Director’s Cut is due for release on April 26, 2013 for the PlayStation 3 – either as a phys-disc version or a PSN download.

An HD makeover with a stack of new content not found in the original, the Directors Cut also tidies up the control scheme to make the previously unwieldy combat a tad easier. It is a game I am anticipating immensely, and represents the closest you can get to an interactive Twin Peaks scenario in the comfort of your own digs.

From now through to its UK release date, fans who pre-order the highly anticipated title (from participating retailers) will receive exclusive downloadable content. In addition, Rising Star Games is excited to be working closely with Sony Entertainment Network on a digital pre-order incentive that will be offered exclusively to Playstation Plus members.

For gamers who have yet to subscribe to PlayStation Plus, Rising Star Games has teamed up with Sony to offer customers a free 30-day trial membership of PlayStation Plus. This will be available on a limited run of Deadly Premonition: The Director’s Cut and is exclusive to boxed retail copies.

Check out our two part interview with SWERY, but also know that the dedicated website for Deadly Premonition: The Director’s Cut lists the retailers across all territories who are participating in the campaign: www.deadlypremonitionthegame.com.
