Battlefield 4 Boasts Improved Destruction, Boats and Incredible Verticality

A live 64 player game of Battlefield 4 was played at EA’s E3 conference which showed off many of the game’s astounding looking improvements.

The demo followed a group of players who, among other things, dropped a road by removing the pillars supporting it underneath, took to the water for a little naval shootout, rode an Elevator up to the top of a skyscraper, fought a helicopter at the top of said skyscraper, and parachuted from the building to the street because it was about to come crashing down from enemy tank fire.

The seamless nature of the whole thing was, in all honesty, quite astounding, with a spectacle rarely seen in online shooters.

Two takeaways. One, will all of this grandeur be replicated in the 360 and PS3 versions of Battlefield 4? We know they won’t support 64 players, but it would still be an achievement to image the scope on those consoles.

Two, DICE’s Star Wars Battlefront is going to be blummin’ incredible.
