by on September 9, 2014

The Xbox team have lifted the lid on what we can expect to see in the October system update, and its a biggie..

The stream of regular system updates the Xbox One has received since launch have been welcomed by One’ owners, with each update making the system a little more awesome every time. What can we expect in Octobers update? The short answer is ; Lots. The long answer is ; DLNA support (Yipee!), Support for MKV file playback, better snap integration for the Friends, Messages and Achievements apps and more improvements to Smartglass.

Lots of cool new features are coming to Xbox One’s TV and video services, too, with a new trending tab being added to the One Guide – this will show you the top 10 TV shows being watched in your region at any given moment. This feature will initially be rolled out to the U.S, UK and Canada, with other markets to follow.

Plenty to look forward to, then. Are you on the preview program? Have you nabbed to update already? Let us know what you think in the comments section below. For full details on what to expect in the update, head over to Xbox to read the full announcement.
