Xbox boss Phil Spencer has gone on record to confirm that the Xbox One will be getting a screenshot sharing feature in the near future. (Source IGN)

The “Share” feature on PS4 has been a runaway hit, with millions of screenshots being fired into your eyes via twitter every second. You can’t move for people showing you what exciting thing they have been up to in Destiny…ugh. Anyway, the endearing feature is set to show up on Xbox One sooner or later, with Xbox head honcho confirming the feature, amongst other things, will be coming in a future update;

“I was told themes and background pics are something that we are working on – and screenshots, you know people beat me up on screenshots,” Spencer said.

“The team has done a great job with the monthly updates, some of the things are just a prioritisation and are a time in development.

“But I know that people like to customise the look of their dash,” he concluded. “I think both themes, backgrounds and screenshots are things I know people want so we are going to deliver on them. But we can’t give a when yet.”

It’ll be nice to see all the screenshots of Sunset Overdrive, Forza and Halo flooding the internet, won’t it?

The Xbox team at Microsoft have done a great job pumping out the updates for their still-new console, with an update arriving every month. The October update, which we are expecting any day now, will bring DLNA features, USB media playback and improved snapping of applications.
