Nintendo Cancels TVii Expansion in Europe

Nintendo have announced that they will not be rolling out their Wii U television streaming service TVii in Europe, which combines several different streaming mediums as well as your existing television channels into one convenient Wii U channel.

The company cited “the extremely complex nature of localising multiple television services across a diverse range of countries with varied licensing systems” as their reason for halting expansion of the service, but were quick to remind Wii U owners of the launch of the new Nintendo Anime Channel – a new video-on-demand service which lets users stream anime series like Pokémon, Kirby and Inazuma Eleven.
