MVP.March Announces Retirement as his Team Makes it to TI5 Proper

by on July 27, 2015

One of the longest serving members of the SEA Dota scene Park “March” Tae-won announced his retirement from Dota yesterday just hours before his team MVP.Phoenix made it through to the group stage of TI5.

March announced that he would retire after TI5 as he has to serve his compulsory military service in Korea. This usually lasts for two years and as he is already 27 March has decided to call it a day.

After the announcement March and his team MVP.Phoenix managed to make it through the wildcard tournament to secure a place in the group stage and guarantee themselves at least $52,000. MVP beat Archon but then lost to CDEC in the winner bracket finals meaning their last chance was to beat Vega in a best of three. After a couple of incredible games (game two is really worth a watch) they came out on top.

CDEC’s win over MVP gave them a place in group B while MVP drop into group A.
