by on December 7, 2015

Square Enix have shared details about the upcoming Hitman beta via a blog post on the game’s official website, as well as a new trailer to show off what players can expect.

The beta will launch on February 12 for PlayStation 4 and February 19 on PC, with guaranteed access only being available to those have pre-ordered the game beforehand. The blog post describes the beta as being: “Set twenty years in the past at a top secret ICA recruitment and training facility. This makes it an extremely unique mission because it revolves around how Agent 47 was recruited into the ICA and shows the first time that 47 meets his long-time handler, Diana Burnwood. This will be a moment of huge interest to fans of the series and the perfect starting point for newcomers to the game.”

PlayStation 4 players will receive six exclusive contracts known collectively as “The Sarajevo Six”. These contracts are self-contained, and will follow Agent 47 travel the world in pursuit of six former members of a paramilitary unit called CICADA. The first three contracts will be available when the game launches on March 11 with the rest becoming available as new locations are released during 2016.

As previously stated, Hitman launches worldwide on March 11 on PlayStation 4, Xbox One and PC. You can watch the beta teaser trailer above.
