The Division Beta Delayed Until Early 2016

Ubisoft have announced in a blog post that the planned December beta for The Division has been postponed until early next year.

In the post, titled “An Update to Our Beta Plans”, no specific reason is given for the delay but Ubisoft say they “appreciate your patience as the team remains committed to delivering an open-world action-RPG experience that exceeds your expectations”.

It was also announced that those who have pre-ordered the Xbox One version of The Division will be invited to participate in a closed alpha which will run from December 9 to 12. Those who have pre-ordered on any system, be it Xbox One, PS4 or PC, will automatically receive access to the beta when it launches next year.

The Division is due for release on March 8.
