Gears of War 4 story trailer released

by on April 11, 2016

Microsoft has debuted the first story trailer, titled “Tomorrow,” for Gears of War 4, featuring an insight into the life and legacy of the Fenix family and a glimpse at the new menace.

“Tomorrow,” set to a haunting cover of Simon and Garfunkel’s “The Sound of Silence,” aims to convey that Gears 4 will be a story of two tomorrows; the peaceful future envisioned by Marcus Fenix at the conclusion of the third game and its shattering when a new nightmare is born 25 years later. It also hints at how the new installment will bring the franchise back to the dark, mysterious and intense tone of the original.

Fans of the series who’ve played Gears of War: Ultimate Edition, on either PC or Xbox One, will begin to receive tokens granting access to the global Versus multiplayer beta on April 18 while all qualifying Xbox Live Gold members will have access from April 24 until its closure on May 1.
