Miramar Map Coming to Xbox Test Server April 24th

by on April 23, 2018

Earlier today, PUBG Corporation announced via its forums that PlayerUnknown’s Battlegrounds on Xbox One will be getting the second map, Miramar, from tomorrow April 24th. It isn’t actually going to be available fully however, but anyone who owns PUBG will be able to download the new Test Server directly from the Xbox Store, in order to help test the new map away from the main game, in much the same way the PC version works.

You can see some of the Miramar map in our video review of the PC version:

The forum post goes on to say:

“As the map is in an early stage of development, some aspects may not function as expected. For matchmaking reasons, the test will be limited to TPP on NA servers. We might make adjustments to this depending on how the test goes.”

As this is a test server, this new map will only be available at set times. Here is the full test schedule:

U.S. (PDT) SCHEDULE

4/25, 4/26, 4/27: Servers available 5pm PDT through 11pm PDT

4/28 & 4/29: Servers available 11am PDT through 11pm PDT

EUROPE (CEST) SCHEDULE

4/26, 4/27, 4/28: Servers available 2am CEST through 8am CEST

4/28 & 4/29: Servers available 8pm CEST through 8am CEST

It’s great to see this map hitting the Xbox version, especially as it didn’t even arrive properly on PC until the game reached version 1.0. Time will tell how this goes, but with the game still being quite unstable and running poorly even compared to the mobile version, I hope this points to a better future for the Xbox version of PlayerUnknown’s Battlegrounds.
