Horror-Comedy Phantom Halls Leaves Early Access This Halloween

by on September 4, 2018

After 18 months in Early Access on Steam, the B-movie-inspired Phantom Halls will be moving to its full V1.0 release, on Halloween no less! Featuring procedurally generated haunted mansions, the launch update will also include local and networked co-op play.

Launch will also see the Pumpkin King and Dracula going up against your plucky squads, probably murdering you to death. Good luck with that.

The latest updates added to the game include a new RV Headquarters for the gang to hang out in and plan their next move, as well as a Spoils system wherein the squad gains materials upon successfully completing a case. These materials can then be used to craft upgrades to the Headquarters, spanning from simple cosmetic upgrades (Scooby Doo van colours anyone!) to party-wide perk unlocks.

The full release will also include licenced Evil Dead 2 content for free, allowing you to play as Ash himself! Use his trademark chainsaw and boomstick, to blast through a series of Evil Dead 2 inspired quests. Groovy.

The side-scrolling, papercraft-styled horror-comedy (that’s a lot of hyphenated terms!) Phantom Halls will leave Early Access and fully release on PC on October 31st.
