2019’s Pokémon world champions have been crowned

After a weekend of battles the 2019 Pokémon World Championships have drawn to a close and the new champions have been crowned.

This year saw the 16th annual tournament for Pokémon and the Pokémon Trading Card Game, with this year Pokémon Ultra Sun and Pokémon Ultra Moon As the games of choice for the video game portion, as well as Pokkén Tournament DX making an appearance. All in all over 7,000 players and fans gathered in Washington DC for the invitation only event.

After all that and the closing ceremony the location for next year’s World Championships was announced as London, England. I hope next year will be as hotly contested as this was.
