Total War: Warhammer II DLC Coming Next Month

by on August 29, 2019

Good news for fans of Total War: Warhammer II, as Creative Assembly’s fantasy RTS receives new DLC next month. The Hunter and the Beast will introduce two new Legendary Lords and new faction and campaign mechanics, as well as new battlefield units.

Check out the trailer:

Across the jungles of the New World Huntsmarshal Markus Wulfhart expands the borders of the Empire, desecrating and sacking temples dedicated to the Lizardmen gods. But death comes in a myriad of guises in these most ancient lands and none are more stalwart in its defense than Nakai the Wanderer. Awoken from a centuries long slumber, he will seek out all those who threaten Lustria.

The Hunter and the Beast will introduce new units such as elite Huntsmen and Kroxigor Ancients, but the biggest addition (literally) is the Dread Saurian, the largest playable unit ever to appear in the Total War: Warhammer franchise. This “absolute unit” (their words, not mine) will wreak “terrible havoc upon the enemy with its fang-lined jaws and the divine blessings of the Old Ones.”

On top of all this, Total War: Warhammer II will also receive free content alongside The Hunter and the Beast’s release. This will include a new as-yet-unannounced Legendary Lord, but keep an eye on the Total War Blog for updates.

Total War: Warhammer II – The Hunter and the Beast expansion will release on Steam on September 11th, with the SRP of £6.99.
