Cryptozoic Entertainment announces Ghostbusters: The Boardgame II

by on March 11, 2016

Ghostbusters has a huge cult following, you only have to look around you on the internet to see how die hard the fans can be. So when Cryptozoic Entertainment released their first boardgame campaign on Kickstarter it was snapped up by the masses and successfully funded very early in the campaign.

Not content to lay to rest after that first success Cryptozoic are back from beyond the veil with their next Kickstarter they hope to bust some spooks and stretch goals.

The second game adds new game elements, including Slime Blower Pack Ghostbusters and Ooze entities that can split apart and join back together. New allies and new equipment like Ecto Goggles and Portal Destabilizers are there to help you out too.

The game features an original story by Ghostbusters comics writer Erik Burnham that has the Ghostbusters investigating mood slime that has flooded the city and thwart the plans of Vigo the Carpathian. In line with the story, the map tiles in the game depict buildings destroyed by earthquakes and fires, as well as collapsed streets that expose sewers infested with slime.
New figures are based on designs by Ghostbusters comic book artist Dan Schoening, which will not doubt be up to the high standard of the last game.

The Kickstarter campaign looks like it will be ready to launch next month and keep an eye here for more details as we get them.
