New Trailer and Screenshots for Castlevania: Lords of Shadow 2
Belmont fans rejoice! To celebrate Halloween, Konami has provided a brand new trailer and a bevy of screenshots for Castlevania: Lords of Shadow 2, the anticipated follow-up to the series’ progenitor from 2010.
The stirring trailer sets the stage for Gabriel Belmont’s new quest as the vampire Dracula — and franchise enthusiasts may also be excited to notice an appearance from Alucard:
Konami’s press release also details a special edition available for pre-order. Titled “Dracula’s Tomb Premium Edition,” this version comes encased in a tomb casing and includes four miniature figurines designed by Neil Googe, a hardcover book, and an exclusive “Steelbook,” along with the game itself. Gamers in the UK will only be able to purchase this pack through GAME, but you won’t want to deliberate for too long — there will only be 30,000 units of this special edition available across Europe.
There’s also an alternative steelbook edition for pre-orders from Zavvi, encased in a metallic cover featuring an exclusive image of Dracula himself. This package will also include the alternate “Premium Dracula” suit, a “Dark Dracula” costume, or a “Relic Rune” pack that adds a wealth of relic items to your inventory, all depending on where it is pre-ordered.
Castlevania: Lords of Shadow 2 will be released on February 28th, 2014. With the largely positive reception of the first title, you can bet that there are many anxious gamers out there clamoring for the sequel. For now, here are some new screenshots to whet your appetite:
