CD Projekt- The Witcher 3

Coming out of Poland CD Projekt made a game that blew away fans in the gaming scene. The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt is one of the biggest games in the world right now and rightly deserved. From my experience, the game is phenomenal surpassing the likes of Fall Out and Skyrim (both Bethesda games) with character development, plot progression and entertainment. The game sold over 4million copies in its first two weeks on sale and won game of the year beating Bethesda’s Fall Out 4.

Jagex- developer of Rune Scape

A Cambridge based video game company Jagex are the people that created what the Guinness Book of World Records calls the worlds most popular free to play online adventure. It was first released in 2001, ‘RuneScape’ allows players to explore a fantasy world and spend money on improving their character- something that’s become very popular with recent MMO’s. In addition to this Jagex also published a shooter game on steam and an online card game based on RuneScape.

Guerrilla Cambridge- Killzone, MediEvil and LittleBigPlanet (PSP)

Another Cambrdge based Video Game Company; Guerrilla Cambridge is a high-profile developer who works with Sony to create consoles games that are often used to show off the power of the PlayStation. One of these games being Killzone 2 and 3 futuristic shooter games that became very popular with fans alike.

Rovio- Angry Birds

Rovio shot to fame thanks to the creation of ‘Angry Birds’ and is the most downloaded app of all time according CrunchBase. Founded in 2003 by Niklas Hed, Jarno Vakevainen and Kim Dikert, the company which was made in Finland has received more than £48millon in two rounds of funding since conception.

Sports Interactive- Football Manager

I have pump so many hours in this game and for anyone is a football fan, at one point in their lives, they would have played this game. Sports Interactive is the British developer behind this long running franchise. The series have increased in complexity since its first launched in 1992. Now players can watch matches play out in 3D on a realistic pitch.
