If you’ve been waiting for Mortal Kombat’s DLC then at least some of the wait is finally over. Microsoft and NetherRealm Studios today announced that the first lot of downloadable content will be coming to the Xbox LIVE Marketplace today.

Now there’s even more reason to turn on Mortal Kombat, as if you ever turned if off.

The most recent Mortal Kombat is the most brutal installment of the legendary fighting game to date. The game was developed by NetherRealm Studios, led by Mortal Kombat creator and creative director Ed Boon.

Starting today, fans of the recently released Mortal Kombat will be able to download all new Microsoft items to deck out their Avatars including costumes, hats and t-shirts, which can also be worn during online tournament mode, King of the Hill. The items will be available to download for 80 to 240 Microsoft points.

Mortal Kombat is available now for the Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3.
