Laser League zaps onto PS4, Xbox One and PC today

Roll7 and 505 games are attempting an assault on competitive eSports today with the release of Laser League.

Teams of up to four players compete in arenas in what seems to be a cross between bullet hell and Gladiators. Lasers spawn throughout the arena which each team can claim sending walls of that team’s colour moving through the arena, the idea is to either attack your enemy to kill them or push them into lasers of your team’s colour, the last team standing wins.

Here’s a few numbers for you, the game has six different character classes, sixteen arenas, fifteen power ups, twelve modifiers to customise your chosen class and 250 character customisation options. Laser League hopes to be as popular as Rocket League and looks to be going the right way with a Tron-like neon aesthetic and an easy to pick up but tough to master formula.

On Steam players get seven additional arenas, six extra modifiers and two more power ups over the console versions. Also, for a limited time you can buy the game at a 40% discount, that’s £10.99.
