Today sees the launch of a series of Virgin Gaming and Xbox Live link ups which you may have noticed if you’ve booted up your Xbox today. The most interesting of which is a free to enter tournament from which you could pocket a share of $100k.
With Defiance being the only new release last week, it was fairly likely this would happen, but regardless, it’s great to see one of the best games of the year so far staying atop the UK video game charts: BioShock Infinite is still number one.
Despite stiff competition from Konami, with their over-the-top crazy, Platinum Games developed title, Metal Gear Rising: Revengeance, Crysis 3 has topped the UK charts.
With EA’s behemoth marketing budget, it’s no shock that Dead Space 3 slips straight into the top spot, forcing Ni No Kuni out, as it drops to 6th. DmC drops further still, to 25th place, while the rest of the charts look like a who’s who of big budget triple-A games.
Congratulations to Namco Bandai, as their JRPG is getting a huge amount of love right now, not least from the UK public, who have purchased enough copies to have the game enter in first place, this week in the UK Charts.
