It seems that the UK game buying public has spoken: Dead Island Riptide was the most popular game released last week, because as per usual, the best selling new game has taken the top spot in the UK charts.
After the critical acclaim bestowed upon BioShock Infinite, it was always going to be a tough game to oust from the top spot in the UK charts.
This week in the UK video games charts sees very little change in positions, and very little new entries. BioShock Infinite stays on top for the third week, whilst Tomb Raider stays in third place.
With Defiance being the only new release last week, it was fairly likely this would happen, but regardless, it’s great to see one of the best games of the year so far staying atop the UK video game charts: BioShock Infinite is still number one.
Exactly as you’d expect from one of the best games of the year so far, Irrational Games’ BioShock Infinite has topped the UK video game charts in its first week.
Despite concerns that it was too soon for another Gears of War, it seems the public have gone out and purchased it anyway, as it enters the UK charts in first place.
It doesn’t take a lot to guess the number one game in the UK Video Game charts these days, a new release usually takes the prize, but rarely is a game so deserving of the top spot as Tomb Raider.
As with a lot of big budget releases, EA’s Crysis 3 has retained the top spot in the UK video game charts for another week.
