See Defense Grid 2 In Action In New Series Of Developer Videos

by on July 10, 2014

Developers Hidden Path Entertainment may have failed in their Kickstarter attempts to get Defense Grid 2 funded by fans, but the title has since been picked up by a partnership of 505 Games and Dracogen Inc. The title is currently slated for an Autumn 2014 release, on PC via Steam, Xbox One and PlayStation 4.

Very little has been seen of the title as of yet, but the team have been compiling a new series of videos, illustrating some of the new features that will be present in the sequel. Part one was released last week, and focused on defending cores – whereas the new part two looks at the new Boost Towers.

It will be interesting to see more about this new game as the video series progresses, and what will set it apart from its predecessor. Recently the first Defense Grid game was free on Xbox 360 as part of the Games with Gold promotion, which probably helped to expose the series to a wider audience.
