GOG Galaxy exits beta with update 1.2 coming next month

by on March 22, 2017

GOG Galaxy just got updated to version 1.2 and it now exits beta.

The update introduces some big features like Universal Cloud Saves. This lets you add cloud saves to games that even don’t have cloud saves to get cloud saves. Cloud saves on GOG are not locked at all and you can download saves and do whatever you please with it. Here’s what Piotr Karwowski, Managing Director at GOG, had to say about cloud saves:

“Losing your save files can be really frustrating. And a big part of gaming legacy, including many of the greatest games, was missing cloud saves – until now. Thanks to the Universal Cloud Saves feature of GOG Galaxy, not only new games, but also the all-time classics and titles which development has been finished years ago, will be upgraded with saves syncing and cloud backup.”

Additional features include an FPS counter, bandwidth limiting and scheduling, achievement rarity, new chat, and feature customization on the client.

This update will be available in April to everyone and to testers today. GOG Galaxy is available here.
