Square Enix’s Murdered: Soul Suspect Announcement Trailer

Remember Murdered: Soul Suspect? There’s a possibility you don’t as it caused a minimal stir for a day or two, but was then swiftly forgotten about, until now.

Square Enix have released a terrific hype trailer for the game, today. In it, you’ll get your first glimpse of Ronan O’ Connor, a detective who has a dodgy history and has been brutally murdered at the hands of a hoody. Players will take on the role of O’ Connor in the game and attempt to figure out who his killer really is. All, from the afterlife.

*dramatic music*

In all seriousness, the premise seems pretty cool. It takes place in Salem, Massachusetts – obviously – and O’ Conner must use his supernatural powers to communicate with the ghosts of the famous witch infested town to uncover the truth.

While no developer has been tied to the project yet, Crystal Dynamics and Eidos Montreal are two that have been rumoured –with the Eidos hear say being a bit more plausible. Expect more on this PC, Xbox 360 and PS3 game at E3, this year.
