Indie Game the Movie Gets Special Edition Treatment
If you loved Indie Game: The Movie and simply cannot get enough of the well-received gaming documentary, then you will be pleased with the news on the film’s official site of a bunch of bumper special editions that are on their way.
It appears that at present the physical versions are limited to US consumers, but the crazy amount of additional content is available in its entirety on Steam. Here is what you can expect from the Special Edition and Boxset packages:
Available on Steam and from our the IGTM website, the Special Edition Digital Version includes:
– 100+ minutes of new short films.
– Epilogues & ‘What Happened After?’
– New Team Meat Commentary (on the short film anthology)
– New Directors Commentary
If you already own the movie, the digital SE is available as a stand-alone pre-order directly from the Indie Game website, or as DLC on Steam from July 24th.
The box set is the full 300+ minute anthology. Contains everything in the digital version plus much more.
Barely fitting into three full DVDs or Blu-Rays, the Special Edition Box Set is housed in limited edition packaging with artwork by Edmund McMillen.

As mentioned, it looks like a US-only thing presently, but for those that can import or indeed our Stateside cousins, the special packages will ship in early August, including a free code for a digital Special Edition.
