The Binding of Isaac Rebirth Arriving in 2014

by on August 20, 2013

Developed by Nicalis, and sporting a new (optional) pixel based art style, The Binding of Isaac Rebirth is a full re-imagining of The Binding of Isaac made in a proper engine rather than Flash.

Sony today publically revealed that the game will be released on Playstation 4 and Playstation Vita as well as Steam, and released a nightmare inducing puppet-led trailer to celebrate the news.

Rebirth will contain the entire content spread of the original game and its Wrath of the Lamb add on, and will add another pile of content of an equivalent size to Wrath of the Lamb.

The remake will also feature a slew of other improvements such as local 2 player co-op, mid-game saving, new music, and features that were cut from the Flash version simply because it was made in Flash.

The original was reviewed rather favourably back on release in 2012, with our reviewer slapping a 9 out of 10 on the title. All things being well then, this game should be phenomenal.
