Jojo’s Bizarre Adventure Gets PAL Treatment

by on September 19, 2013

Jojo’s Bizarre Adventure is a classic manga that has already been the subject of many video games, one of which I reviewed fairly recently – the CPS-3 oddity that Capcom “bizarrely” chose to give the HD makeover.

Cyberconnect 2 are already the guv’nors when it comes to making tie ins for mega popular anime and manga (as well as the astonishing Asura’s Wrath). Their new Jojo game is already out in Japan, where it joined the elite list of Famitsu maximum score games.

Today, Namco Bandai have announced that Jojo’s Bizarre Adventure: All Star Battle is getting a release in Europe and Australasia, which will mean another OTT manga fighter which probably features seizure-inducing special moves and loads of shouting. Namco are being coy about the impact of the release:

“We are delighted to add one of the longest running manga licenses to our catalogue, a manga that acquired an-almost holy status! The association between Namco Bandai Games Europe and CyberConnect 2 has always been successful, delivering amazing games such as the Naruto Shippuden Ultimate Ninja series, and I’m sure that this time again we are going to exceed all JOJO’S fans’ expectations!”

Only time will tell, but rest assured Godisageek will be all over this bad boy when it comes out.
