New L.A. Noire Screenshots – The High Life Of Los Angeles, 1947

One of the most anticipated games of the year is just around the corner now, and yet it seems so far away. L.A. Noire the new game from Rockstar Games and Team Bondi has spent what seems like an eternity in development but it’s now so close we can almost taste it. Not that the excitement needs to be lifted any more but Rockstar Games continuously feels the need to ramp it up, this time with more stunning screenshots.

The post-war economic boom and full-fledged glory of Hollywood’s golden era brought a new, revitalized air of glamour and prestige to the world of Los Angeles in 1947. In L.A. Noire, this is exemplified by high-end mansions flanked by luxury vehicles, exclusive restaurants and top class shops… all catering to the idle class.

Detective Cole Phelps will soon learn firsthand though what they say about all that glitters. With power comes ruthlessness, with wealth and privilege come greed, with fame comes desperation – and below that high-gloss sheen lie the darkest of souls.

Featured below are never-before-seen screenshots that showcase a glimpse of the world of Los Angeles’ wealthy, fortunate and elite that you’ll encounter in the game.
