Earth Defense Force 2025 Announced, Internet Chants EDF! EDF! EDF!
Namco Bandai have made a lot of people very happy, by announcing a new Earth Defense Force game (2025) will be released in 2013.
We don’t have a huge amount of details, apart from the fact that it’s coming to PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 (No Vita, or Wii U announcement as of yet, but here’s hoping), to go along with the six screenshots that they’ve released. However, we do know that it will the first game in the series to feature four-player multiplayer, and developer Sandlot are saying that it’ll have the most missions ever seen in the series, too.
Some of the screens make the game look a little more…dare we sare, realistic? Of course, the over the top ridiculousness of the giant spiders and the like mean that it’ll surely still be some silly arcade fun, though. With this announcement and the recent release of Tank! Tank! Tank! (not forgetting the last EDF game) it looks as though Namco Bandai very much have this type of game market cornered.
