Troy Baker Will Voice Ocelot In Metal Gear Solid 5

by on June 13, 2013

We have already found out that Kiefer Sutherland will be taking over the reigns from fan-favourite David Hayter as the voice of Snake in Metal Gear Solid 5: The Phantom Pain, and now it has also been confirmed who will be stepping in to voice the young Revolver Ocelot in the game.

American voice actor Troy Baker will step into the famous Ocelot Duster jacket for the latest game in the series, adding to a long list of high-profile gaming voice work that he has recently provided. Baker was the voice of Booker DeWitt in the smash hit Bioshock: Infinite, plays the main protagonist Joel in The Last of Us and is even going to play the fool, as the voice of The Joker in Batman: Arkham Origins.

This has clearly been a big year for Baker in terms of nailing some big-name voiceover roles, and things are only getting better. It is doubtful that there will be the same sort of backlash about this casting as there was when it was revealed that Hayter won’t be reprising his role.
