UK Chart: Good Games Sell Well! Rejoice!
Naughty Dog’s critically acclaimed new IP The Last of Us has topped the UK chart, just pipping Animal Crossing: New Leaf on the 3DS.
The PlayStation exclusive survival horror has become the fastest selling new IP since LA Noire in 2011 and is the year’s third fastest selling game behind multi-format titles Bioshock Infinite and Tomb Raider.
Meanwhile in second place Nintendo’s latest Animal Crossing became the biggest 3DS launch since Mario Kart 7 and the biggest ever for a non-Mario title.
The full top 10 features no more new releases but does provide a wonderfully refreshing variety of games. Only one FPS, but even then it’s a bloody good one!
