The Odd Gentlemen Premiere King’s Quest Developer Diaries

by on April 21, 2015

Developer The Odd Gentlemen have premiered the first part of a four-part series documenting the creation of their upcoming title, King’s Quest.

The series of video diaries will go behind closed doors to meet the people driving the reimagining of King’s Quest as they discuss their passions and techniques used to bring the 1984 title to the gaming audience of today.

The opening featurette, titled “The Vision” introduced The Odd Gentlemen’s Creative Director Matt Korba and Producer Lindsey Rostal as they discussed the story arc coming in King’s Quest: an aged King Graham takes his granddaughter, Gwendolyn, back through the untold tales of his astounding life. That arc came full circle for the team when they met King’s Quest creator Roberta Williams – and fellow Sierra co-founder Ken Williams – to hear firsthand what inspired the game that paved the way for so many adventures to come, passing the torch from one generation to the next.

The first chapter of King’s Quest will be released later this year as a digital download on PS4, PS4, Xbox One, Xbox 360 and PC.
