Underwater drone PowerRay to sponsor Shark Week’s 30th anniversary
PowerVision are the makers of PowerRay an underwater drone that can film in 4K, and they’re going to sponsor Shark Week this year.
It’s Shark Week’s 30th anniversary this year, and PowerVision wanted to ensure they were at the forefront of the excitement by putting their drone front and centre of the event. The drone itself can move for four hours on a single charge and removes the risks typically associated with filming sharks, namely being eaten.
The drone also includes a 40m depth capable sonar labelled the PowerSeeker. With this PowerRay is capable of transmitting data of up to a 70m depth to an accuracy of 10cm back to the surface.
