It’s been a long time in the making, but Jonathan Blow’s upcoming first person puzzle game has finally got a release date for Playstation 4.

In a posting on the Playstation Blog, it was revealed that The Witness will have at least a hundred hours of game play, and that the island the game is set on would be open world, leaving the player able to go anywhere they wish. Of course, there will be puzzles blocking certain paths that players will need to solve in order to progress.

Speaking about the project on the blog, Blow explains “It’s the best thing I’ve ever done, and that’s all you can ask for, right? I hope my next project will also be the best thing I’ve ever done, but for now it’s this.”

Originally announced in 2009, The Witness first caught people’s attention when it was included in the Playstation 4 announcement event in 2013, the official release date is now set for January 26, 2016 for PS4 and PC.
