New Final Fantasy XIII-2 Screenshots Thrown At Gamers

by on August 12, 2011

As the excitement amongst fans builds for the next instalment of the Final Fantasy series, Square Enix have released a few new screenshots for the game. These images show us a new action available in-game, known as the Moogle Throw. You will meet a Moogle character in the new game, and after gaining their trust sufficiently you will be able to throw the Moogle – enabling gamers to reach chests and other items that may normally be out of their reach. The Moogle will not appreciate this however – so don’t do it too often!

This skill is intended to help players obtain power-ups and secret items, and also adds the new throwing mechanic to the game. After grabbing the Moogle, players enter an aiming view, from which they can choose which direction to throw the Moogle in, whilst the poor creature struggles to escape your grasp. Does this all sound a bit confusing? Well check out the images below to try to get things clear in your mind – but it is all still pretty strange!
