The Retrocast #14 – Bubsy (SNES)

by on May 7, 2013

So we’ve been hinting for a while now that some changes are coming to The GodisaGeek Retrocast…and here they are! The biggest news is that our videos are now in glorious 720p High Definition resolution – Perfect for when you’re viewing our videos on the big screen.

But the move to a higher resolution isn’t just an excuse for us to blow up the size of our captured footage, not at all. While we maintain that our footage is among the best quality you’ll find anywhere (captured from real hardware, no emulators here!), we’re also using this as an opportunity to add even more information, trivia, artwork and more to our show.

In the beginning it was always the plan for us to cover games of varying quality, and that is what has gravitated us to this week’s game: Bubsy in Claws Encounters of The Furred Kind. A generic platform mascot from the early 90’s, you’ll find out why he lacked the staying power of mascots like Mario and Sonic.

We hope you like the new format of The GodisaGeek Retrocast, and all we ask if that you let us know what you think! You can follow us on Twitter (@TheRetrocast), comment on our YouTube videos, or simple tell us what you think in the Comments, right here!

We’re covering some brilliant games this month, so stay tuned every Tuesday for more Retrocast action!
