Nintendo announce Wii Fit Girl For New Super Smash Bros… Yes Really
Nintendo have announced that the Wii Fit Trainer will be joining the roster of the new Super Smash Bros game for Wii U and 3DS.
Wii Fit Girl joins MegaMan and Animal Crossing’s Villager as the first new characters announced for Nintendo’s arcade fighter.
Touted as a “major” announcement by Gametrailers’ Spike TV E3 coverage, even the typically super-professional Geoff Keighley couldn’t hide his bemusement when the announcement went public.
However the trailer (which is below) is actually pretty funny, so while we may be a bit nonplussed now it’s a harmless addition in the long run.
Nintendo revealed the first footage of Super Smash Bros for Wii U and 3DS during their special E3 Direct broadcast earlier today, at which they also showed off Super Mario 3D Worlds and Mario Kart 8.
