GameStop Stops PS4 Pre Orders
US retailer GameStop has put the brakes on its PS4 pre order program, with it supposedly running out of the launch day units it can offer the public. Sony had supposedly told GameStop to go about its business as if there would be an unlimited supply of PS4 consoles on launch day, but apparently even an unlimited amount isn’t enough to quench the thirst of hungry and eager gamers.
It’s worth noting that the Xbox One hasn’t suffered any such problem, which either points to a higher number of units available on day one, or what is more likely, Microsoft’s offering and subsequent PR disaster just isn’t that attractive.
