UK Chart: FIFA 14 Is Your Christmas Number One

by on December 23, 2013

FIFA 14 is the UK’s Christmas number one.

Keeping Call of Duty: Ghosts at bay with 17,000 more sales, FIFA sits atop the Christmas chart for the first time since 2008.

Call of Duty has dominated the Christmas number one spot since the series’ rise to popularity six years ago, with the notable exceptions of 2008 and 2011 when Bethesda’s Skyrim shocked gamers by reigning supreme.

A cut price has seen Assassin’s Creed IV: Black Flag ascend to third place with Battlefield 4 fourth and Lego Marvel Super Heroes fifth.

Killzone: Shadow Fall is the highest ranking platform exclusive at nine with Gran Turismo 6 two places below, just missing out on the top 10.

The top 10 in full…

1. FIFA 14
2. Call of Duty: Ghosts
3. Assassin’s Creed IV: Black Flag
4. Battlefield 4
5. Lego Marvel Super Heroes
6. Grand Theft Auto V
7. Just Dance 2014
8. Need For Speed Rivals
