Top Talent Announced For Voiceover Duties In Upcoming Game; Bedlam

by on August 6, 2014

Both, Robert Florence and Kirsty Strain have been announced as the voiceover talent for Bedlam, an upcoming FPS. Kirsty, best known for her work Burnistoun and River City, will provide the voice of the lead character – Heather Quinn, aka Athena. On the other hand, Robert Florence, who also appeared on Burnistoun, will be taking on the voiceacting duties of Ross Baker, aka the eponymous Bedlam. Both, Robert and Kirsty will be also voicing some minor characters throughout the game. Kirsty has said;

“I wasn’t familiar with the world of gaming or Christopher Brookmyre before entering the world of Bedlam and now, I am without doubt a huge fan of both. This is a very exciting project that I am really delighted to be a part of. Athena is a strong, witty character who has been written so well. Her banter and her bite bring such fun to this already thrilling game and for me, as an actor that is such a joy to play.”

Bedlam allows players to take on the role of Heather Quinn, a programmer at medical scanning developer Neurosphere. She finds herself transported into the world of Starfire: a nineties FPS she remembers from her teen years. Trying to find an explanation, she ventures beyond Starfire to discover a vast realm of interconnected game worlds documenting the evolution of the FPS genre and of video games in general. The game will be coming to Steam Early Access on August 8th.
