So, get this, Sinner: Sacrifice for Redemption is a boss battler game where you actually get weaker the further you progress.

The game is developed by Dark Star studios, a team featuring many people from Triple-A development with credits including Blizzard, Konami and Ubisoft. Sinner: Sacrifice for Redemption puts you in the shoes of a soldier called Adam who has to fight through a series of bosses modelled on the seven deadly sins to atone for his misdeeds.

As Adam goes on he has to sacrifice parts of himself granting him permanent debuffs which last throughout the rest of the game. So, as you take down the bosses you’ll find yourself with less and less health and weaker weapons and armour. It’s certainly going to be a title to give those who like hard games a challenge.

The game is due out on PS4, Xbox One, PC and Mac on April 25 2018.
