High Score – Classic FM’s videogame music show set to return this weekend

The UK’s most popular classical music radio station is set to bring it’s video game music show back for a third series this Saturday.

From 9pm on November 3 BAFTA aware-winning composer Jessica Curry from The Chinese Room (makers of Everybody’s Gone to the Rapture) will host the new show on 100 – 102 FM across digital radio and TV radio channels, the Classic FM app and Global Player. It’s another step towards mainstream acceptance for video gaming and of course Jessica Curry is excited so I’ll let her have the last word:

I’m delighted to be back for a third series of High Score and I think that this is definitely the best one yet! The game music community is incredibly active and engaged so we have two listener request shows and we have a really fun episode called The End of the World as We Know It which tackles games’ obsession with the apocalypse. I’m going to be playing an incredibly wide range of music over the series and I think that there really is something for everyone, whether you’re an existing games music fan or not.
